Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott have started marriage counseling following Tori’s reported mental breakdown in March, when the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a wellbeing call from her Woodland Hills home.
"Tori and Dean are very much in love and have dedicated themselves to improving their marriage,” an anonymous source told Entertainment Tonight. They built a family together and plan on raising their kids as a team," a source says of the couple, who share five children together. "They realized things got completely out of hand when their blowout fights became very public. As painful as that period has been in their life, it was also very eye-opening for them."
Also on the upside, the source characterized Tori’s March episode as a “nervous breakthrough” that has led to the couple seeking help for their marriage rather than a nervous breakdown. Counseling has reportedly focused on their financial woes and they’ve enlisted an accountant to help them get organized and move forward.
The person also revealed that Tori may be willing to eschew more reality television in favor of more acting. She appeared with former 90210 co-star Ian Ziering in Sharknado 6, and Ian has hinted that the old gang might be getting back together one day.
“We all talk, we all have ideas. It’s just a matter of time, I think,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “There’s so much chatter on social media, so much clamoring for a reunion, I’m sure something will happen.”
