Vivica A. Fox has been speaking more openly about her former relationship with 50 Cent in recent years. In 2015, she insinuated that he is gay while on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and she wrote about the rapper in her new memoir Every Day I'm Hustling, the title a nod to a song by 50's rapper rival Rick Ross.
In the book, she confessed that she found out 50 Cent had an engagement ring with him in Monaco ... but changed his mind after he felt that she upstaged him when hosting the World Music Awards on the same 2003 trip. "I didn't know any of this until about a year later. Instead of giving me the ring, he had the diamond broken in two. He wore them as earrings," she wrote.
US Weekly asked Vivica directly if she thought the relationship might have survived if she hadn't hosted the event.
“I don’t know, that makes me a little sad," she said. "It’s like those things in life that, you know, things happen but you have to keep on living, you know? I think that’s why for the longest time, I held on and stayed so loyal."
Among her other admissions in Hustling was that their sex life was "PG-13": "Most of the time," she wrote, "I would be the one initiating sex, because I really enjoyed making love with him."
50 didn't receive the book so well.
“That was 14 years ago," he wrote on Instagram after her book dropped. "Smh who does this? What the f–--!”
