"This is without a doubt one of the proudest days of my life and career," said the Project Runway judge.
Lady Gaga's known for her wild outfits, but for one of the biggest moments of her career, she chose a look that's completely timeless — courtesy of one of the newest judges of Bravo's Project Runway!
Designer Brandon Maxwell created a simply beautiful ballgown for his friend and muse to wear during her moving performance with Bradley Cooper and when she picked up her Oscar for best original song.
Brandon cheered Lady Gaga on via Instagram, writing: "This is without a doubt one of the proudest days of my life and career. @ladygaga wins her first Academy Award wearing a Brandon Maxwell duchess satin gown."
Brandon, who is fresh off of showing his NYFW collection, had a very busy Oscars. He also dressed Melissa McCarthy and Sarah Paulson. Gaga's win clearly brought out all the emotions for him (and us!). "So proud to be part of your monumental night," he wrote in one post, and in another, he said: "Gaga, you have made me feel like an Oscar winner every day since the day I met you...I dreamed of this moment my entire life and for it to come true with one of my best friends almost too much for me to comprehend."
