How to Easily Recreate Project Runway’s Chic Faux Mohawk
Project Runway hairstylist Justine Marjan shows you how to shake up your hair routine with this edgy faux mohawk.
Blowout, ponytail, bun, blowout, ponytail, bun... We at The Lookbook know the feeling of an uninspired hairstyle all too well, so we’ve joined forces with Bravo’s Project Runway to show you how to take the hottest hairstyles from the runway to the streets. This week, TRESemmé Global Stylist Justine Marjan shows us how to create the illusion of a fierce runway-inspired mohawk — no scissors required.
To create this edgy 'do, Marjan first separated the hair into three vertical sections.
Then, she gathered each section into a ponytail by applying gel to the roots and brushing it smooth.
Lastly, Marjan twisted the ponytails into buns and added pins to secure them.
To ensure a long-lasting hold, she finished off the look with TRESemmé TRES Two Hair Spray Extra Hold.
Sounds simple enough, no?
Trust us, you'll master this ‘do in no time. For more beauty inspo, tune into Project Runway on Thursdays at 8/7c.
