Golnesa Gharachedaghi, better known as GG, from Shahs of Sunset, is far from your average girl — let’s just say that GG isn’t a lady you want to mess with. So it makes sense that she has a far-from-average cat.
Besides being a Savannah F2, a rare breed of domesticated cat that resembles a leopard, GG’s cat Malaika sits like a human. Or rather, like a human doing some serious man spreading.
In a video posted on Instagram yesterday, GG showed Malaika spread out on GG’s comforter with her hips splayed like a yogi. In her paws, Malaika was toying with one of GG’s hair clips.
Other Instagram stories showed Malaika assuming the same pose on the couch. “Your brother, is a normal cat,” GG says to Malaika. She quickly flashes to Romeo, who is a fluffy beauty of a Himalayan, lying on his belly a few feet away. “This isn’t normal,” she tells Malaika, who stares at her impassively.
In truth, cats are flexible enough to assume almost any pose. In fact, some even like to imitate their humans. What’s strange about Malaika is that wild cats — and even some domesticated ones — almost never show their bellies because it makes them vulnerable. The fact that Malaika is comfortable sitting like a human shows that she feels really safe in GG’s company.
That’s pretty cute — see, Reza, GG isn’t so scary! GG should feel assured that her cat loves her, and thinks she’s a great mama.
