So, Does Naomie Regret Telling Craig to Give Paige His Jacket at the Dog Wedding?
Naomie Olindo reflected on Craig Conover saying she was “not respecting boundaries.”
On the August 11 episode of Southern Charm, there was some notable tension between a former couple at Patricia Altschul’s dog wedding — and no, we’re not talking about Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll being forced to stand at the altar together.
As Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover arrived for the outdoor ceremony in Patricia’s backyard, Naomie Olindo seemed very concerned about Paige’s lack of coat on the chilly day. “I’m so cold for her,” Naomie said as she looked at Paige, who was wearing a pink minidress. After asking, “Should we go inside?” Naomie said to Austen, “Somebody give Paige their jacket.” Then she turned to her ex-boyfriend and suggested, “Craig, give her your jacket.” In case her point wasn’t totally clear, she told the Summer House cast member, “Paige, you need a jacket.”
Craig didn’t exactly welcome the advice. “What is going through Naomie’s head where she thinks that she knows what’s best for me and my girlfriend?” he asked in an interview. “This is not respecting boundaries.”
“After the big scene Naomie made over it,” as Craig described it to Austen, Craig took off his jacket and draped it over Paige’s shoulders.
On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen the same night, Naomie shared her honest thoughts on the moment after seeing it play out during the episode. “I mean, I thought I was pretty annoying when I watched it back," she admitted. “I was overcompensating for wanting so badly to be friendly with them.”
With a cringe, she added about watching herself, “I was like, ‘Ugh, shut up!’”
