James Lipton Gushes About Inside the Actors Studio's "Milestone" 20th Emmy Nomination
The #ActorsStudio host and executive producer has some very important people to thank.
Inside the Actors Studio earned its 20th Emmy nomination Thursday, and James Lipton couldn't be more proud of the series. “Nominated for the 20th time, how can I begin to express my gratitude and excitement?” the host and executive producer of Inside the Actors Studio told The Daily Dish in a statement. “It is a milestone for which we have our distinguished guests to thank. This remarkable moment is dedicated to them, the artists, and to the dreamers – the students of our Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University.”
The series is nominated for Outstanding Informational Series or Special at this year's Emmys. Its fellow nominees include Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Star Talk with Neil deGrasse Tyson, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, and Vice. Inside the Actors Studio took home the Emmy for this category in 2013.
Top Chef is also nominated for its 11th consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program at this year's ceremony.
