The Below Deck Med Crew Drama Has Reached New Heights: "Time to Involve Captain Sandy"
Aesha Scott explains why the tension between two Below Deck Mediterranean crew members has gotten "out of control."
As Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean continues, so does the drama between Bri Muller and Elena "Ellie" Dubaich — and Aesha Scott is ready to put a stop to it.
On Season 9, Episode 8, Aesha praised Ellie for remaining professional with Bri despite their tension stemming from a love triangle with Joe Bradley. However, Ellie took the opportunity to share her latest grievance about Bri after she discovered the third stew's notebook filled with laundry-related mishaps.
"She starts writing this whole crime list. I saw the notebook," Ellie said. "It was a whole list of crimes I committed in laundry."
Aesha wasn't thrilled that there was more drama to discuss.
"What do I have to deal with now?" she said in an interview during the July 22 episode. "I just feel like as a good chief stew you need to really listen and assess both sides before you make any decisions. It's just never-ending bullsh-t with both of them."

To get the full story, Aesha went into the laundry room to see Bri's notebook for herself.
"What is this?" she asked. "This looks like a book of receipts. Like, is this a burn book? But I can't tell if Bri is stirring the pot or Ellie is."
Unfortunately, that wasn't all Aesha found in the laundry room.
"I see cashmere in the dryer, and this burn book," she said. "I really feel like things are out of control."
So "out of control," in fact, that Aesha was ready to raise the issue up to Captain Sandy Yawn.
"It's time to involve Captain Sandy because I honestly need help with this," she said.
What happened between Bri Muller and Elena Dubaich?
While the tension between Bri and Ellie started as soon as the women realized they were both interested in Joe, it only got worse on Season 9, Episode 5 after Bri and Joe kissed.
“You give zero f-cks about me. I would never break my friendship with you over a random f-cking guy," Ellie told Bri. “It was a snake move.” Later, she added that the situation had “changed [their] relationship completely."
The drama led to Bri temporarily sleeping on the floor of Joe and Nathan Gallagher's cabin instead of the one she shared with Ellie.
The arguing continued on Episode 6 when Bri declared Ellie was on a "power trip," while Ellie expressed frustration that Bri wasn't respecting her as a supervisor.
As Aesha hinted at in a May 2024 interview with The Daily Dish, things won't be getting better any time soon.
"I think where I did really struggle — which you’ll see — was managing stews, my girls’ emotions," she explained. "The stuff that stays in the crew mess was really hard to deal with. That was my biggest challenge of the season."
