Amanda Batula Explains Why She Was "Never a Fan" of Luke Gulbranson

Luke Gulbranson is in the center of some major tension this season of Summer House as the situation between him, Hannah Berner, and Ciara Miller continues to heat up. 

After a summer of complicated emotions last year, the relationship between Hannah and Luke remains unclear. Feelings have become even increasingly mixed as Luke arrived at the crew’s new Hamptons house this year with newcomer Ciara, particularly because Luke and Ciara have a romantic past. On the February 18 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, cast member Amanda Batula weighed in on the drama. 

“If you were in Ciara’s shoes, and watching everything play out between Hannah and Luke, do you think you’d still give him a chance or run for the hills?” Andy asked while reading questions from viewers. 

“Oh, I would run so far away,” Amanda replied. “So far!” 

From there, Andy brought up the fact that Amanda has always been a bit skeptical of Luke’s intentions: “You were never a fan of his, right?”

“It was something about the way that his relationship, or whatever it was called, was playing out with Hannah was really rubbing me the wrong way from the beginning,” Amanda explained. “Kind of proved my point. But I’m not going to say that I was right the whole time.” 

In a preview for the February 25 episode, which you can check out below, Luke opens up about how he’s planning to proceed with the situation: “Ciara and I have always just had fun and gotten along. There’s a reason why we’re tight. If my chances with Ciara are ruined because of what happened with Hannah, then I need to do damage control.”
