Is Gabourey Sidibe Returning to American Horror Story?
Find out which stars are confirmed to appear in American Horror Story: Roanoke.
A new season of American Horror Story has just begun, and since the series has a habit of featuring a recurring cast of actors, we're dying to know who's going to return for this sixth installment.
It's no surprise that this was a burning question for Watch What Happens Live viewers when Gabourey Sidibe — who has appeared as witch Queenie in Season 3's Coven, Dora Brown's daughter Regina Ross in Season 4's Freak Show, and as Queenie once again for a guest spot in Season 5's Hotel — appeared on the show Tuesday. Unfortunately, Gabby pretty much broke the hearts of fans who'd hoped she'd return this season of AHS. "I probably won't be this season, but who knows what the future holds?" she told Andy Cohen (clip above).
Though Gabby may not be on this season of AHS, plenty of other favorites will return to the series. Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Denis O'Hare, Wes Bentley, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, and Angela Bassett are all included in the opening credits of the Season 6 premiere of American Horror Story: Roanoke, according to E! News. Lady Gaga has also been confirmed to make an appearance this season following her Golden Globe-winning turn as the Countess last season of AHS.
The fact that Gabby is besties with many of her former cast members may be a good sign that she'll want to return to the AHS set one day. "Oh, I miss all of my friends," she said on WWHL. "Yeah, I have so many friends there."
For now, you can watch Empire to get some Gabby in your life. The actress stars as Becky, Lucious Lyon's executive assistant-turned-A&R exec.
But who knows? Maybe Gabby will join The Real Housewives one day. She already has her tagline handy, as we learned during Tuesday's WWHL. Find out what it is, below.
