Andy Cohen just did something he "never ever" does during a recent taping of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. The host, who celebrated the show's 15th anniversary in June 2024, recently had to stop taping an episode because he had a serious issue with his eyes.

How to Watch

Tune in to WWHL on Bravo Sunday through Thursday and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

The pre-taped episode, which will air on Wednesday, July 24, features guests Cindy Crawford and Colman Domingo. Andy explained what happened during a recent broadcast of his Radio Andy series. "We were sitting there, I’m starting the show, it’s like 5:30 p.m. and I look up at the teleprompter to begin the show and I really — not only can’t really see, but I’m kind of seeing double," Andy shared.

"I barely know Cindy Crawford, Colman Domingo I just met, it was a full audience and I’m sitting there thinking, ‘Oh, boy. What am I gonna do?'" he continued.

As for what he was experiencing, Andy said he was looking at the teleprompter "quizically" and "kind of reading" it.

"But I’m looking at the camera as though it’s saying something to me and I don’t really understand what it’s saying,” he added. "That’s the only way I could explain to you the expression on my face."

Andy decided to stop the show to try to figure out what was going on.

“I just thought, ‘This is terrible.’ And I stopped the show, which I never ever stop a show. I just never stop a show. And I said, ‘I can’t see,’” he said.

His earpiece soon turned on, and Andy said it was "chaos." His executive producer told him, "'We all thought you were having a stroke.' They thought I was stroking out."

After taking some time to reset, Andy said that they "restarted the show" and "that was that."

"And it wound up being a great show," he said. "Cindy Crawford pleads the fifth. Colman Domingo does a brilliant Clubhouse Playhouse. I’m so excited for y’all to see this episode but when I tell you, it was scary."
