A big Mazel to Andy Cohen who launched his Sirius XM radio station, Radio Andy, on Monday (September 14). And to kick things off, the Watch What Happens Live host welcomed some big-time names to his first Andy Cohen Live show, including the Fashion Police panel and legendary comedian Carol Burnett. But there was also a special appearance from one of his BFFs (Sarah Jessica Parker, who called into the show) that made for a memorable premiere day. Not too shabby of a start, eh?
Day 1 also included the first broadcasts from comedian Sandra Bernhard with her Sandyland show, Lance Bass and his "Dirty Pop 2.0 show (which included interviews with '90s songbird Jewel and, yes, Andy!), and Fashion Queens' Bevy Smith on Bevelations (who sat down with Pharrell, which you can hear at 6 pm ET).
And listeners were pretty excited to have Andy — and his pals — on their dial.
Today also brought news that even more folks are joining the Radio Andy crew. Listeners will be treated to weekly shows from John Benjamin Hickey (My Favorite Song with John Benjamin Hickey), Jonathan Alter (Alter Family Politics), fashion editors Mickey Boardman and Chrissie Miller (PAPER Radio), Real Housewives super-impersonator Amy Phillips (Reality Checked with Amy Phillips), actor Jason Biggs and wife Jenny Mollen (Jason and Jenny), and John Hill (The Feels with John Hill). Two specials are also on the lineup: F.U.: Feminist University with Ricki Lake and Abby Epstein, as well as Free Advice from Ev and Lou Cohen. Yes, Andy Cohen's parents will appear on the network. Excuse us while we wait for Wacha's own show. In addition to Andy Cohen Live, Andy will also helm Deep & Shallow with Andy Cohen, which will feature superstars like Madonna, Connie Britton, Christina Hendricks, Judd Apatow, Bill Hader, Debra Messing, RuPaul, Nile Rodgers, and Reba McIntire.
