Following Bobby Zarin's passing in 2018, Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin settled their years-long beef. The two women, who famously had a falling-out in front of the world on The Real Housewives of New York City, came together to mourn Bobby after he lost his battle with cancer. Following the event, the two 'Wives shared that even after all of it, they had maintained some level of contact with one another. "It's nice. She'll text me, and we have a nice interaction, and it's clean, which is what I wanted it to be," Bethenny shared on WWHL last spring (clip above).
It was a sentiment Jill mirrored: "I've talked to [Bethenny] a couple times, not on the phone [but] in texting. We're all good. You know what? She's busy; I'm busy. If I needed something, I feel like I could call her and say: 'You know Bethenny, could you help me with this?' And I did actually ask her for something and she did. And, vice versa. If she needed something from me I would totally help her," she told PEOPLE at that time. "I feel like that line of communication is open and running both ways, so that's good."
In the year since then, fans might be wondering if the twosome have remained in contact. Well, Jill provided an update in an interview with Jeff Lewis on his SiriusXM show this week.
“It’s definitely better than it’s ever been since that whole thing happened, but she doesn’t have time for me, and I’m sad about that. But I understand it … I really do," she said, according to Us Weekly.
The RHONY alum added, “[Bethenny has] got a guy in Boston, she got her own place. So she doesn’t have time for me. I’d like to think we could go back to where we were, but you can’t.”
Jill also reflected on their falling-out from way back in Season 3 of RHONY (more on that era in the clip below), noting that these days she may have approached their feud in a different way.
“I’m calmer, I try to think first and I try to not take things so personally. There were definitely roads that I took the wrong way throughout the whole thing where you could go left or right,” Jill said. “I know that, maybe, I should haven shown up at her apartment when this whole thing went down and just said, ‘What are we fighting about, let’s just make up.’ I just let it fester. … I don’t have the ego I have.”
