Is Brittany Cartwright ready to date?

After three months of separation, Brittany is open to dating. However, she thinks it could be "difficult" for one reason.

"It’s weird to even think about dating," she told Us Weekly, before sharing the qualities she's looking for in her next partner. "But I need someone who has their stuff together, who is confident and respectful, and makes me laugh. It’s going to be difficult because I am so in the public eye."

Brittany Cartwright says Jax Taylor might "freak out" if she started dating other people

Amid their separation, Brittany said that she's been in touch with Jax as they navigate co-parenting their three-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi. She also said that the two have discussed dating other people "here and there."

"We act like it would be OK, but I’m not sure. I think he’d freak out if he saw me with a man. I’d be upset, too," she continued to Us Weekly. "You can get over those things, but the first one might be strange."

She also hasn't fully closed the door on reconciling with her estranged husband.

"There’s definitely a chance," she said about the likelihood of her getting back together with Jax. "But I won’t waste my time and get back into a toxic situation. Now the veil has been lifted, and I see how much I was always cleaning up Jax’s messes. I’m thrown in the middle of all these fights and constantly forced to apologize for him in the media and to friends. It’s hard."
