Asa Soltan Rahmati's Baby Will Be "So Spoiled," Mike Shouhed Promises
The #Shahs pal reacts to his BFF's pregnancy news.
The countdown until Asa Soltan Rahmati welcomes her first child is officially on. The Shahs of Sunset mom-to-be revealed her baby news last month — and now her pals are anticipating the moment she becomes a mom with bated breath. "That little boy or girl is going to be so protected and so spoiled, my God!" Mike Shouhed recently shared with The Daily Dish.
Asa and her boyfriend Jermaine Jackson, Jr. have been together for six years, but Mike was still surprised to hear that the couple is expecting a baby. "Let me just say I express my overwhelming amount of joy and excitement that my girl is going to be a mom and that her and her man are going to have a child together," he said. "I'm super excited for them. And, you know, I'm shocked in a certain sense because I'm like, 'Dude, that's crazy. You're going to have a child, wow.' But, at the same time, you got to understand all of us are getting a little bit older. The biological clock is ticking, so certain things have to be done before you're unable to have children."
According to Mike, Asa is already in mommy mode, which means she's been changing some of her behaviors to adjust. "She's super protective of her baby. She is eating 100 percent organic. She will not be around any kind of secondhand smoke," he said. "I think she's going to be an amazing mom. She has a lot of wisdom. She has a lot of patience. She has a lot of world experience that she's gonna enlighten this child with."
That also means Asa is cutting out a whole bunch of foods and beverages that could be potentially harmful to her baby. "I'm like, 'Why don't you have a glass of wine? Just chill out.' She goes, 'Absolutely not.' And it's OK to have a glass of wine — a lot of my friends, their wives are pregnant and they'll have a glass of wine and then just chill out. But she's being super, super, super protective of this child and making sure she's feeding her body and her mind full of great stuff to make sure that this child comes out perfect. And I' excited to meet this little boy or girl soon."
Late last month, Asa shared that she was six months along in her pregnancy. Not only had she kept the pregnancy under wraps from the public, but her tight-knit crew as well. "She kept it a secret from everybody," Mike said. "I don't know if it's typical in the American culture as well, but in the Persian culture we wait until after the first trimester where we don't tell anybody yet to make sure everything's OK. You don't want to get anyone excited and, God forbid something happens — I get it. She's someone that really believes in the evil eye. She's super secretive about stuff like that. That's why you never see her boyfriend, you never hear about him. She keeps things that super personal to her on a real personal level."
