Ashlee Holmes Introduces Her Baby Boy to the World

It's been two seasons since we last saw Jacqueline Laurita and her family on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and a lot has changed since then. During Season 7, Jacqueline's eldest child, daughter Ashlee Malleo Holmes, got engaged and announced her pregnancy. Since then, she gave birth to son Cameron Hendrix Malleo in August 2016 and married Pete Malleo in August 2018. Motherhood has been such a transformative experience for Ashlee that it has even inspired her new career: She just announced that she is starting a podcast, Parenthood Etc.

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/9c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

The podcast is described as a "weekly podcast where you can listen to [Ashlee] talk about [Parenthood Etc.] with celebrity parents every Tuesday." This time last year I was VERY pregnant with @cameronmalleo. Today, I celebrated my first Mother's Day with him. Throughout my pregnancy, people told me that I'd never feel a love like this one. As clichÃ© as it may sound, they were right. The second they placed him in my arms I felt such an overwhelming feeling of love --a kind I had never experienced before. Cameron, you are my everything. These last 8 months with you have taught me so much. I'm still learning how this whole mom thing works, I promise to keep doing my best. Time is going by so quickly, I'm trying to cherish every moment. You are handsome, curious, silly and just so amazing. You are the happiest ray of light in my life. Most moms on here today have talked about how blissful motherhood is... I'd like to acknowledge the other parts too. Here's to sacrificing our bodies, all of the stretch marks, the stubborn belly fat, the sore nipples, the deflated breasts, the sleepless nights, the hormones, the postpartum depression, the dirty diapers, all the failed attempts trying to get our babies to sleep when we'd like them to, the defeated frustration that overwhelms us whenever they refuse to let us put them down -even just for a second, here's to always smelling like sour milk, to the throw up that's somewhere in our hair and the poop that's undoubtedly under our nails, to the days we've been forced to choose between getting the house clean or getting ourselves clean, to all the mini anxiety attacks, and I KNOW I'm forgetting a few things lol. Being a mom isn't always kisses and cuddles, it's all of it. All of that other stuff is what truly makes moms absolute rockstars in my eyes. Showing and accepting affection is the easy part. But powering through all of that other stuff to be there for your child? That's love. That's being a mom. Cameron, you make every single moment worth it. You turn my bad days around just by being in my life. Thank you for picking me to be your mommy. Thank you for truly showing me what love is. I will love you unconditionally with everything I have forever. To my moms, grandmas, aunts, cousins, single moms/ALL of the mamas out there: THANK YOU! You are appreciated. ð
