Captain Kerry Titheradge Worries “Someone Is Gonna Get Hurt” on Below Deck Adventure
In a tense sneak preview, Captain Kerry worries that Lewis Lupton’s radio issues will put the Mercury crew in danger.
It’s not always smooth sailing on Below Deck Adventure, and the sneak peek of the all-new episode on Tuesday, December 13, teases the Mercury crew navigating yet another brush with danger.
The clip begins with Captain Kerry Titheradge announcing to his crew that it’s “game time” as he approaches Brosundet Marina in Alesund, Norway. “I have to come into a very narrow channel, and then I have to back in and twist the vessel into a slip that I can’t even see,” he explains in an interview, which you can check out by clicking play on the video above. “So I’m relying on my crew to give me distances of where I’m at.”
As he’s asking bosun Lewis Lupton via radio to be his eyes, however, Captain Kerry hears little more than a crackling noise coming through on his end. Replying that he “can’t hear” Lewis, he further instructs the crew member, “Hold your mic before you speak, please. You’re breaking up.”
Meanwhile, deckhand Nathan Morley offers Lewis similar advice. “Nathan, you’ve got a point," the bosun says in an interview, “but this is just not the time.”
As Captain Kerry begins swinging Mercury into the berth, he still has “no eyes at the back of the boat,” signaling an impending catastrophe.
“I can’t see how far from the block I am or how far from the channel I am,” he explains in another interview clip. “I’m going to hit something. Someone’s gonna get hurt.”
To find out exactly how the dangerous situation plays out, you’ll have to tune in to the new episode of Below Deck Adventure.
