Captain Lee Rosbach Still Keeps Tabs on His Crew Off the Yacht
#BelowDeck's Stud of the Sea reveals who he has — and hasn't — kept in touch with since Season 3.
When Captain Lee Rosbach returns to lead the crew when Season 4 of Below Deck sets sail on Tuesday, September 6 at 9/8c, he won't be the only familiar face aboard the yacht. Returning crewmembers Ben Robinson, Kate Chastain, and Kelley Johnson will also be back for another high-seas adventure.
The Stud of the Sea's reunion with Kate should be especially welcome since the two expressed that they missed each other during an adorable Twitter exchange back in May.
Though Captain Lee said he and the chief stew hadn't seen each other recently when The Daily Dish caught up with him earlier this summer (Kate lives about three hours away from his home in Fort Lauderale), they still remain close. "I haven’t seen her lately," Captain Lee said, adding that he and Kate usually talk on the phone about once a week. "But Kate and I get along really well. We both know we can speak frankly with one another without fear of hurting each other’s feelings or that sort of thing. We can say what’s on our mind because we respect each other in that way. So it just makes things a whole lot easier."
Eddie Lucas won't be a part of the Below Deck crew during the upcoming season, but Captain Lee hasn't lost touch with him, either. "I talked with Eddie a couple times [since Season 3 ended]," Captain Lee told The Daily Dish. "He seems to be doing well."
Of course, that's a far cry from where Eddie was after having a rough time at the end of last season when he came clean about his affair with Rocky Dakota. Captain Lee gave Eddie a stern talking to after this bomb was dropped, but that doesn't mean there's any bad blood between the two these days. "Eddie had a difficult year last year, and things were never bad between Eddie and I. I was just disappointed in the choices and lack of judgment that he displayed. And he knew that," Captain Lee said. "And I still think Eddie is a great guy, and I think he’s got a great future. I just think he lost his way a little bit, as everybody does. It’s not whether you get knocked down or not — because everybody’s gonna get knocked down — it's how you get back up."
The Below Deck boss never sugarcoats anything, but he especially didn't hold back his feelings when it came to what he thought of Rocky's behavior during last season's reunion. So it might not come as much of a surprise to hear that Captain Lee hasn't been in contact with the stewardess lately. "Yeah, my guess is I’m probably not gonna make her Christmas card list this year," he joked. "I don’t even think I’ll be invited over for Thanksgiving."
