Chef Dave White’s Biggest Below Deck Med Regret Might Surprise You

During the Season 7 reunion, Chef Dave shared his biggest regret of the charter season — and it didn’t involve Natasha.

Chef Dave White may have had drama with chief stew Natasha Webb, which included many text messages amid their tension and led to a difficult time communicating with her in the galley as a result, but his biggest Below Deck Mediterranean regret? A batch of pancakes.

As fans will remember, during the last charter of Season 7, former NFL defensive tackle Dominique Easley asked the chef if he could make him “big” and “crispy,” but “not too fluffy” pancakes for dinner on the first night.

Dave interpreted Dominque’s description to mean a crepe, which didn’t make the football player too happy. His second batch went better, but the charter guest still wasn’t impressed.

Fast-forward to well after the conclusion of the charter season, and Dave is still haunted by the pancake request.

On the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen reunion for Season 7, host Andy Cohen asked each of the crew members to share what they regretted most about their time on Home.

“I’ve got lots of regrets, [but] my actual biggest regret was not getting that pancake mission right,” Dave joked. As for his other regrets, Dave said he was “ashamed” of a lot of the things he did on the show.

Though Dave was a bit hard on himself for the breakfast food drama, as Andy said, he should take it as a one-off mishap. Earlier in the special, Captain Sandy Yawn actually said Dave was the most talented chef she had ever worked with during her six-season tenure on the show.

“He worked nonstop. Dave’s the best chef we’ve ever had, ever, on Below Deck [Mediterranean],” Captain Sandy told Andy and the rest of the crew.

After Pancake-gate, one charter guest may not agree with Sandy’s comment, but the captain’s stamp of approval is still very high praise.
