Bethenny Frankel's Father's Day Tribute to Dennis Shields Will Definitely Make You Cry
The RHONY mogul remembered her late boyfriend and his influence on her daughter's life.
Bethenny Frankel paid tribute to her late boyfriend, Dennis Shields, on Sunday (June 16) in honor of Father's Day in an emotional tweet that also shed more light on their relationship.
"Happy Father’s Day. In memory of Dennis, a man who was a father of five beautiful children and a beautiful influence in my daughter’s life," she wrote about her former fiancé.
The Real Housewives of New York City mogul added in another tweet: "Happy Father’s Day to all of you incredible fathers who do so much for your families year round. Take the day for yourself. To all those who have lost their fathers, take the time to reflect [and] relax [and] remember all the good [and] the love. They’re with you today in spirit [and] memory."
Dennis passed away last August, and Bethenny has been publicly dealing with the loss of her longtime friend and boyfriend on RHONY this season. Her own father, horse trainer Bobby Frankel, passed away in 2009.
Just last week, Bethenny offered some insight into how she is currently handling losing Dennis, revealing on Twitter, where she frequently remembers Dennis, "It has been a very weird sad day [and] I had very disruptive dreams. Grief is that storm that you must drive through to get home."
