Bob the Drag Queen Defends The Traitors Targeting Housewives: "I Don't Know This Woman"
There's something about the Housewives that separates them from the rest in the competition series, according to the RuPaul's Drag Race winner.

This story contains spoilers for the first three episodes of The Traitors Season 3.
Some on Peacock's The Traitors might warn you to watch your back around the Real Housewives, but Bob the Drag Queen thinks he knows their real strategy.
Bob, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8, is currently calling Ardross Castle home in The Traitors’ third season, sharing the estate with a number of Housewives from the Bravo franchise. And Bob spent over an hour on his YouTube livestream getting into the nitty gritty one day after the first three The Traitors Season 3 episodes dropped on January 9, 2025 (now available to stream on Peacock).
Here’s what he's said about the season's Housewives: The Real Housewives of New York City’s Dorinda Medley, The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dolores Catania, The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Robyn Dixon, and The Real Housewives of Dubai’s Chanel Ayan.
Bob explains his methods on The Traitors
Bob is one of four competitors to be selected to play this season as a Traitor, meaning he's on the prowl to “murder” any non-traitor (aka the Faithful) to eliminate them from the competition series. Bob admitted he found an opportunity to go after the Housewives because there was something special that separated the women from the rest of their reality TV counterparts:
“The Survivor people do not like each other, the Housewives are friends, they are like buddies,” Bob said (per PinkNews). “The Survivor people and the Big Brother people have all backstabbed each other. They’ve hurt each other, so they are not buddy-buddy. The Housewives are buddy-buddy, and we don’t think they’ll turn on themselves unless they want to make a point.”
That's why Bob and his murder squad opted to eliminate two Housewives so far: Dorinda (in Season 3, Episode 2) and Chanel (in Season 3, Episode 3).
“Eventually, we all agreed that a Housewife should go,” Bob said about the Traitors’ decision. “That we agreed on because the Housewives have the strongest numbers.”
Why Bob and the other Traitors "murdered" Housewives Dorinda and Chanel
Bob said he and the other Traitors — Big Brother’s Danielle Reyes, Survivor’s Carolyn Wiger, and "Boston Rob" Mariano (Survivor, Deal or No Deal Island) — murdered Dorinda and Chanel to target the Housewives' bond. But, Bob said on the live stream, it was nothing personal, especially since he'd never watched the Housewives before.
“We decided that Dorinda was gonna be our kill,” Bob said. “This really p---ed people off on the internet. I don’t know this woman. I don’t know that she’s this icon on Real Housewives. I don’t know she’s causing a scene. I have no clue who Dorinda is, so I’m like, ‘Girl, kill her.’ I don’t know, let’s pick someone, because they’re all strangers to me.”
Still, Bob said he found Chanel “so sweet,” claiming he “liked her a lot” when they first met at the castle. And, as for Dorinda, Bob — responding to memes floating around X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter — said murdering her was “random” and had the potential to “cause chaos.”
Bob hoped that “causing a little chaos in the house” could avenge The Traitors’ Season 2 banishment of fellow drag queen Peppermint, also of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame.
Are there other Bravolebrities at risk on The Traitors?
Of course, Housewives aren’t the only Bravo-lebs competing in the murder mystery-style series hosted by Alan Cumming. Summer House’s Ciara Miller and Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval are also trying to survive the Scottish Highlands for a chance to win up to a quarter of a million dollars.
“It was absolute madness, y’all,” Bob said of the first three episodes. “This show is so stressful; I can’t even tell you how stressful this show is.”
New episodes of The Traitors Season 3 premiere on Peacock on Thursdays at 9/8c, with the season finale and reunion premiering on March 6.
All episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream right now on Peacock.
