Braunwyn Windham-Burke Reveals Her Skin Cancer Scare: “Luckily We Caught It Early"
The RHOC mom is also reminding everyone to "get checked often."
Braunwyn Windham-Burke is urging people to pay close attention to their health after a recent skin cancer scare. The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member took to Instagram to share the unexpected diagnosis she received during her latest trip to the dermatologist.
In an Instagram Story on February 22, Braunwyn posted a close-up shot of a doctor examining a spot on her freckled arm. “That little mole that looked kinda weird came back positive for melanoma,” the mom of seven explained in the caption alongside the picture, also adding, “Luckily we caught it early!”
Braunwyn shared the experience as a means of reminding her followers of the importance of prioritizing their health and paying attention to their bodies. “Get checked often!!!” she wrote at the bottom of the photo.
Braunwyn’s not the only Bravoleb who has encouraged fans to get regular check-ups at the doctor after a skin cancer diagnosis. This past fall, Vanderpump Rules SURver Ariana Madix celebrated one year of being cancer-free after undergoing melanoma surgery last year. In recent years, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Tamra Judge opened up about being diagnosed with melanoma, while The Real Housewives of New York City's Bethenny Frankel also shared her story after having skin cancer removal surgery.
