Vicki Iovine's popular book series Girlfriends' Guide... is now coming to the small screen.

Bravo has greenlit a new scripted pilot titled Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, the network announced today.

The scripted show will chronicle the life of a self-help-book author as she navigates the ups-and-downs of her early-40s. Though she's a successful best-selling writer, she's also dealing with her life since separating from her husband and living in Los Angeles. She finds solace and comfort in her network of divorced friends—and she faces conflict when she clashes with her married ones.

The pilot is written by Marti Noxon, a producer on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Glee; Iovine, Dawn Olmstead and Meryl Poster are serving as executive producers.

“We're thrilled to be working with Marti Noxon on this project,” says Andrew Wang, Bravo's Vice President of Scripted Development and Production. “Marti's incredible talent and unique perspective shine through in this compelling exploration of a modern woman’s journey through divorce and the next chapter of her life."

"The funny, frank and fabulous tone of Vicki's books provide a perfect jumping off place for the show," adds Noxon. "I love Bravo and look forward to creating a great 'second marriage' with them!"

"Anything I’ve ever really needed to know I learned from my girlfriends and passed it on in my Girlfriends' Guides books and blogs," says Iovine. "We all know divorce is difficult to endure, but since most of us are living with it or in fear of it, let’s tell the truth about the pain and the possibilities—and all the ‘new sex’ along the way."
