Bronwyn Newport Marks a Big Anniversary for Her Family: "Little Did We Know..."
The RHOSLC cast member celebrated the special day with a small at-home party.
Bronwyn Newport ended her week on a celebratory note.
Several months after ringing in her wedding anniversary, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City mom marked another happy milestone for her family… well, fur family, more specifically. Bronwyn took to Instagram on January 10 to share photos and videos commemorating her dog Claire’s “Gotcha Day,” a cuter term for adoption anniversary.
Bronwyn celebrates her "sweetest" dog, Claire
The carousel began with a sweet picture of Claire posing alongside Bronwyn, her husband, Todd Bradley, and her daughter, Gwen. The snap also featured the family’s other boxer, Francis, who was a big factor in Claire’s adoption.
“Today is Claire’s Gotcha Day!” Bronwyn wrote in the post. “Nine years ago a friend gave her to us hoping she’d become a buddy to our rescue Francis and help ease his anxiety! Little did we know baby Claire would end up being the permanent house buddy!”
Bronwyn said Claire was an “emotional support girl” to her family as well as the other five boxers in her home. Although she admitted Claire could be a bit crabby, Bronwyn insisted the pooch was pretty affectionate and generally even-tempered.
“She hates photos and loud carrying on, loves snacks, long walks, rides in the car, pup cups, snuggling and stealing chapsticks!” Bronwyn continued. “Claire has been the alpha, the momma, the sweetest, easiest going dog we’ve ever had! She survived chemo and radiation for lymphoma this past fall and we are more grateful than ever for her presence in our home!”
Most of the following slides showed Claire hanging out at Bronwyn’s home, where she modeled the cutest outfits and snuggled with her four-legged siblings. There were also shots of the dog on a scenic hike, walking down a wedding aisle, and enjoying a family beach day.
Bronwyn throws Claire an adoption anniversary party
As part of her “Gotcha Day,” Claire took a little trip to visit Bronwyn’s father, who was recently admitted to a memory care facility near Bronwyn's house.
“It’s been a hard transition for us all,” the Housewife said about her dad’s living situation. “He loved getting a visit from his favorite ‘white stripe dog’ as he always calls her.”
After the mid-day outing, which included a pup-cup stop, Bronwyn’s family threw Claire a little “Gotcha Day” party complete with Grumpy Cat mylar balloons and a small bundt cake.
“Liked her bites of cake. Did not like the balloons or fanfare,” Bronwyn captioned the Stories of the party. “We love you grumpy girl.”
