Bronwyn Newport Shocked Todd with a Major Change to Their House: “He was Pretty Upset”

Bronwyn Newport revealed surprising details about her "haunted" house during the RHOSLC After Show.

By Sophie Vilensky

As we've gotten to know Bronwyn Newport on Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, we have quickly fallen in love with her stunning home. Think of all the colors! The closets! Her eye is like nothing else.

In the above episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show, Bronwyn revealed that she'd recently made a change to her house — much to the surprise of her husband, Todd Bradley.

"He came home and I painted the entire office in my house pink — not me personally, I hired someone to do it," Bronwyn explained while chatting with Whitney Rose. "He was pretty upset about that. So now it's my office, not Todd's."

But a pink office isn't the only plan she's had cooking for the space.

"We have tons of land for being in Salt Lake. We're downtown, basically, but we have eight acres," she added. "I've been campaigning for llamas for years."

The good news? "Nagging works" in the Newport/Bradley residence.

"I nagged him into this llama, and then finally one day he was like, 'Just go buy the llama. It's over. Just do it,'" Bronwyn shared. "And then when I called she said, 'You have to have three.' So I just texted him, 'We're getting three but it's a great deal.' He was like, 'No, definitely not three.'"

So, she went on talking about it for another year. And like the pink paint, it'll eventually happen.

"He's gonna come home to llamas one day," she shared.

Bronwyn Newport claims her house is haunted

Another thing to know about Bronwyn's house? She claims it's "haunted." But the ghosts are friendly!

"I'm into it. I think the ghosts live in the basement, which until my closet is done being built is where all my clothes are. I've bonded with the ghosts in the basement through fashion, so I like the haunted aspect of it," she said. "It's just this weird, quirky, old [house]. I love a project. And it's definitely a project."

How old is Bronwyn Newport's house?

Bronwyn's house was built in the 1960s.

"It's all concrete, which is very bizarre. There's hardly any Wi-Fi in the house. We have to have Wi-Fi in each and every room. But it's been through its whole evolution. A guy who built grocery chains built it, so it was built like an industrial building. And then he donated it to the Catholic church," she explained. "So there's some relics from when it was a religious home. ... And then this fabulous older gay guy bought it. And he started to remodel it. So there's all these layers underneath what I'm putting in there."

"It's odd. I don't know if it's for everybody," she concluded. "It's not even really for Todd. But I love it."
