The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills may have just taped the dramatic Season 7 reunion, but there was one RHOBH pal who was happy to be away from the heat. “It’s a great feeling," Camille Grammer told The Daily Dish during the Family Equality Council’s Impact Awards at the Beverly Hotel Wilshire.

"You kinda of feel the safety of not being in the drama, but I wish that I did [the reunion], because I was involved in a lot of the conversations that didn’t make it on air," Camille explained. "I would have liked to be able to support any wrongdoing or who was being wrongly accused of doing something.”

However, Camille said she's happy to have a little distance from the hot seat. “I needed a break,” she explained. “Those first few years were so hard.” During her two-season reign on the show (Season 1 and Season 2), we witnessed, among other trials and tribulations, the unraveling of her marriage to actor Kelsey Grammer“I was recovering from cancer, I’m a single mom with kids, I went through a lot and it was part of my healing process [taking a break from the show],” she confirmed.

Things seem to be on the upswing in Camille’s personal life as she excused herself when her new boyfriend, a handsome attorney named David, came to join her on the red carpet before whisking her away to the sit-down dinner in the Beverly Wilshire ballroom. “Here is my handsome man,” she gushed.

Also at the Impact Awards were Kyle Richards and her husband Mauricio Umansky. Kyle, who admitted to feeling drained after the emotional reunion, confessed that she indulged in some retail therapy after the taping. "Lisa Vanderpump called me in the morning and was like, 'Let's go buy ourselves some jewelry!' and I said, 'Okay, I'll meet you there.'" she said. "But then I called and was like, 'Okay I changed my mind, I want a Birkin, I'll see you later!'"
