Candiace Dillard Bassett Clarifies Who Was Responsible for the Cars for Her Music Video Shoot
The RHOP ladies share their opinions on the music video shoot for "Drive Back" and Chris Bassett's manager role.
Candiace Dillard Bassett took fans inside the making of her video for her single "Drive Back" during the September 19 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. As fans saw, she and husband and manager, Chris Bassett, were navigating the logistics of the shoot before they hit the set and right down to the last scene being filmed — and it wasn't always a smooth ride.
On the day of the shoot, Chris had another priority and couldn't make it to set, leaving Candiace to take charge, especially when the cars meant to be used as props didn't make it in time. When Candiace appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, she clarified if it was Chris's fault. "That has to be made clear, 'cause I had a team of people that reported to him and he reported to me, and he was told that the cars were coming," she said. "And they didn't come, not because of him, but because of what the team did not do."
She also noted on WWHL that she has no regrets about having him as her manager. "No, it was a learning experience. We've grown from it," she said. "We've gotten closer because of it."
The video even featured appearances from her RHOP castmates, minus Ashley Darby. You can find out how Candiace feels about not inviting her to the shoot today from her WWHL appearance. And also, the RHOP cast discusses what it was like to film the video in the The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show (both clips above).
As seen in the episode, Chris did make his way to the "Drive Back" set, and in the RHOP After Show, the women react to that moment, below.
Speaking of Chris' role as Candiace's manager, the cast also shared their feelings on that topic in the RHOP After Show, below.
