Gizelle Bryant Has a Shocking Take on Candiace Dillard Bassett and Mia Thornton's Drama

Andy Cohen didn't expect Gizelle Bryant to be on this RHOP cast member's side on WWHL.

Gizelle Bryant wasn't present for the conflict that broke out at the start of The Real Housewives of Potomac couples' trip to Maryland's Eastern Shore in the October 3 episode, and after seeing it all play out on TV, she's actually glad she wasn't there to witness everything that went down.

"I was so happy. When I got there and I heard about the salad, I was just happy I wasn't there," Gizelle reacted to the drama between Candiace Dillard Bassett and Mia Thornton during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on October 3 (clip above).

But you better believe Gizelle still had plenty of opinions on the matter. When host Andy Cohen asked if she had chosen a side in the conflict, Gizelle replied, "I got to pick Mia on this."

That surprised Andy, who let out a "wow" after hearing Gizelle's response. "I know, and I love Candiace to death, but her mouth is a garbage can. Like, her mouth is horrible," Gizelle explained, later adding that Candiace's comments about Mia during the couples' trip were "not nice."

This beef stems from Gizelle and Robyn Dixon's Reasonably Shady party in the September 26 episode, during which Candiace made a comment about Mia's mother in response to the RHOP newcomer's criticism of her music video shoot for her single "Drive Back." Candiace and Mia explain what reignited their conflict at the beginning of the Eastern Shore getaway in The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show, below.

Also in the RHOP After Show, Karen Huger opened up about her attempt to defuse the situation between Candiace and Mia. But similar to Gizelle on WWHL, Karen said that she feels like Candiace needs to be more careful about what she says to other people.

"She's got to get to know someone before she starts hurling personal accusations about family. You don't know Mia. You don't know Mia's mother. Don't speak on it until you know the facts," Karen said in the below clip. "I worry about Candiace speaking to people that way about their family, and you don't know them. Take the time to get to know her or anyone before you attack them personally because it could go left quick, and this was ugly. You know, I lost my mother, and Mia's mother has been through a lot, and you just don't disrespect one's mother. And I'm just grateful it didn't go any further. It could've."

However, Candiace said that she has no regrets about the way things turned out with Mia. "I'm not sorry I responded the way I did, because Mia wanted smoke, and she just wasn't prepared to get my brand of it," Candiace said. "Who else does she get that rough and tough with? Nobody. And she thought that I was the one, and she got what she got. You're welcome."
