Candiace Dillard Bassett Reveals the Sex of Her "Fall Baby" (DETAILS)
The pregnant Real Housewives of Potomac alum is finally sharing her big news ahead of her baby's arrival.
We have some big news to share: Candiace Dillard Bassett, who is currently pregnant with her first baby, is having a boy! After sharing that she was expecting earlier this year, The Real Housewives of Potomac alum confirmed that she and her husband Chris Bassett are adding a little boy to their family.
"I started to feel a masculine energy," she told Us Weekly on Wednesday, Sept. 4. "I just couldn't deny the feeling of a sweet little boy growing inside of me."
This will be Candiace's first child and Chris' fourth child, as he shares two sons and one daughter from previous relationships. So, Candiace is about to be just a little outnumbered by the boys in her life. But, she doesn't seem to mind. Candiace told the publication that she has been soaking up every single second of her pregnancy. "It's the most magical and indescribable experience," she said.
Candiace took to Instagram that same day where she shared a video from their sex reveal announcement. In the video, Chris and Candiace can be seen wearing all white and talking about their predictions.
"I would like a girl, but I would be happy with whatever the Lord gives us, as long as they are healthy," Candiace said in the video, before slipping on their blindfolds and covering each other in blue paint.
When is Candiace Dillard Bassett due with her first baby?
Candiace and Chris' newest addition into their family is due sooner rather than later. Although Candiace did not tell Us Weekly her exact due date, she did reveal which season she would be giving birth in. "I'm so happy to have a fall baby," she said.
Candiace Dillard Bassett dishes on her pregnancy cravings
It's safe to say that Candiace has been having a lot of fun growing her little boy. Especially since she has been able to indulge in all of her pregnancy cravings, which she said have been a little expansive and very fun. "Olive Garden spaghetti with meat sauce, Apple Jacks cereal, and watermelon have been the top contenders," she said. "I've also had a few stretches where all I wanted was smash burgers...that was a great time."
This is a big change from her second trimester when she was struggling to keep food down due to nausea. "And then a lot of days I don't want to eat, but I have to," Candiace said during an April Instagram Live session. "So I went from loving food, enjoying food — and somedays, I still do, but a lot of days, I don't want to, but I have to."
