Caroline Manzo Calls Valentine's Day 'Silly'

"Remember what counts can never be bought," the NJ 'Wife says.

By Lauren Metz

Did you lavish your love with an evening of delicacies, baubles, and pure opulence last night for Valentine's Day? Then Caroline Manzo thinks you're nuts.

"Valentine's Day is just a silly way of showing your significant other how much you care," the Real Housewives of New Jersey star writes in her latest column for MSN's Glo. "Simple gestures like flowers, a card, or candy are more than adequate. I've seen people stress over the day like it was an economic summit that would affect the future of the human race. Why?"

Now don't mistake her for some Mrs. Bitter dumping on Valentine's Day — quite the opposite, in fact. "Valentine's Day should be every day!" Caroline continues. "Every day you should show your love and appreciation for each other in some way."

A sweet kiss? Good. A surprise love note? Even better. Warming the car up for your wife in the morning? Keep it coming.

So how did Caroline spend her February 14th? According to HollywoodLife, bonding with daughter Lauren at the Tracy Reese fashion show and wishing you all a fabulous Valentine's Day. "Sending out a HUGE hug to each and every one of you! Xoxoxo," the Jerseyite tweeted.
