Channing Tatum's Daughter Picked Up a Magic Mike Dance Move and Her Parents Aren't Thrilled About It
This is not what mom Jenna Dewan Tatum had in mind when her child learned to dance.
Who hasn't tried to do some Magic Mike moves in the comfort of their own home? The sultry steps from everyone's favorite film about male strippers are downright iconic — so much so that even the three-and-a-half-year-old daughter of star Channing Tatum knows them.
Channing's wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum, spilled that fun little nugget during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Sunday night while talking about the fact that their daughter Everly knows her parents are dancers and she's seen them in action. "She's done a couple moves, one Magic Mike move that we were not so thrilled about," Jenna shared, adding that her daughter also knows how to twirl and do an arabesque.
Magic Mike moves aside, is Jenna hoping that Everly follows in her parents' footsteps and becomes a professional dancer in the future? "I would encourage her to do literally anything that she loves and wants to do. And she recently took her first dance class, and I wasn't a dance mom, but I was very excitedly filming the entire time. And I put that pink tutu on so fast. I was like, 'Put that on!' And then she didn't want to go back again," Jenna said. "But, you know, it was fun, and no, I would never push her to dance."
The World of Dance judge went on to say that her daughter hasn't caught "the dancing bug" yet anyway, but she's also only three-and-a-half years old, so there's plenty of time for that.
Should Everly change her mind and decide that she does want to get into dancing for real, she definitely has the best teacher around. See Jenna's skills in action, below.
