Captain Lee Rosbach Explains Why He Let Chef Rachel Hargrove Come Back to the Crew
"I have to put a lot of things ahead of what maybe I would ordinarily do," the Below Deck boss said.
Rachel Hargrove quit the My Seanna crew during one of the most memorable preference sheet meetings ever in the December 14 episode of Below Deck. However, the chef returned the next day to ask Captain Lee Rosbach if she could resume her position in the crew.
"I'm sorry. I want to apologize and say that was super unprofessional, and I'm very, very sorry," Rachel told Captain Lee in the bridge. "There's no disrespect to you. I actually love working with you and respect you as a person and a captain as well. And if it's possible, may I come back and do this charter and do it successfully and do it with you guys?"
Captain Lee stoically told Rachel, "I'm on board with that," and he welcomed her back to the galley.
Captain Lee opened up more about allowing Rachel to re-join the crew in the above clip from the Below Deck After Show exclusive to Bravo Insider. "A rock and a hard spot does not describe the spot we were in. I mean, we were like four hours from picking up, and I got nothing. So I've got a big problem," he explained. "So I have to put a lot of things ahead of what maybe I would ordinarily do or what I might feel I want to do."
There's really only one reason why there would have been "no way in the world she'd have come back," according to Captain Lee. Find out why, as well as how the rest of the crew reacted to Rachel's return in the video, above.
