Project Runway Season 17 not only provided a wonderful opportunity for a new batch of 16 designers to get to meet like-minded fashion lovers but also an amazing chance for the judges and mentor to get to know each other and, in some cases, reconnect.

How to Watch

Watch Project Runway on the Bravo App and on Peacock

That was certainly the case for celebrated CFDA fashion designer Christian Siriano, who spoke a little bit about how his relationship with ELLE Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia changed as they worked together on this new season of Project Runway during Thursday night's episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "You know what, it's a great question, because honestly when I was on the show, it was still new, it was early, so I didn't get to hang out with the judges very much. It wasn't so personable like it is now. Like, we're much more in it," Christian explained during the WWHL After Show (clip above). "But Nina and I are really good friends. I dress her. It's really weird full circle. You know, ELLE is such a champion and an amazing magazine. But Nina's amazing. She really is."

Project Runway host Karlie Kloss, who has been a fan of the fashion competition since the very beginning, also shared what a treat it was for her to watch Nina's critiques in action this season. "She's a force. And also for us on the judging panel, watching her, she's so clear and articulate," she said. "She calls it as it is."

Andy Cohen also made a touching remark about how meaningful it is to see Karlie and Christian be a part of Project Runway's return to Bravo. "I have to say the thing that I love about us sitting here — we talked about it at the very beginning — it's very sweet, both of your connections to this show. It really is a full circle thing," he said during the WWHL After Show. "And you know what's great? I remembered it watching the premiere, the show is about making dreams come true, about people following their passion and their creativity. And both of you did that, and here you are. It's super cool."

We couldn't agree with Andy more.

Watch Karlie and Christian in action on Project Runway Thursdays at 8/7c. Check out a sneak peek of an all-new episode, below.
