Colin MacRae Won an Award and *This* Below Deck Sailing Star Was There to See
Find out what Colin MacRae has been up to since Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4.
Colin MacRae has been busy winning awards and repairing a catamaran since he last appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
The engineer, who appeared on Seasons 2 through 4 of the yachting series, just won the "best Instagram account of the year" award at the 2024 International Cruiser Awards. His former boss, Captain Glenn Shephard, was there to witness the big moment in Annapolis, Maryland — and the two even co-hosted the October 11 event.
"Was an honor..." Colin wrote on Instagram about receiving the award in front of Glenn.
Just a few days after he reunited with Glenn, Colin ran into another Below Deck Sailing Yacht-ie: Season 2 chef Natasha de Bourg.
The chef shared an adorable photo of the two on her Instagram page.
"It was great catching up with you [Colin MacRae,]" she wrote in the caption of her post.
Colin MacRae's life since Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4
After leaving Parsifal III (and ending his boatmance with Daisy Kelliher), Colin returned to his catamaran, Parlay, to continue fixing it up. He shared an update on his progress on Instagram on September 29.
"Happiest man on the planet! [Six] years ago me and my mate bought a hurricane-damaged catamaran to do surf charters in Costa Rica. After moderate success on YouTube, I decided to continue sailing past Costa Rica and beyond to see what this world has to offer, by boat. Well, sailing to Fiji was everything that I had dreamt of, and more," Colin wrote alongside his post. "World-class waves and crystal clear waters surrounded by beautiful people... The crew smiles are contagious."
Where do Colin MacRae and Daisy Kelliher stand today?
Ahead of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 premiere, Daisy told E! News that she doesn't speak to her ex often.
"We don't really talk," Daisy told the outlet. "If he needed anything, obviously he could give me a call. But we don't really keep in touch."
She did recently get a text message from the engineer, though.
"I got a message from him the other day about a comment I made about him. I hope he's not mad at me saying this, because I basically referred to him as 'dead weight,' which was a joke," Daisy added. "He just messaged me like, 'Dead weight?' Laughing emoji. Hopefully he saw the funny side."
