Captain Lee Rosbach Imparts His Wisdom to the Class of 2018 as a Commencement Speaker

The Below Deck boss was "so honored" to give the commencement address at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Captain Lee Rosbach is always dropping knowledge — nautical or otherwise — on Below Deck. And now he's sharing his wisdom with the Class of 2018 and molding the young minds of the next generation heading into the workforce.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

Captain Lee gave the 2018 commencement address at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida on Thursday. "So honored to give the commencement address for the 2018 Graduates of the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale," the Below Deck boss shared on Instagram. "Such a memorable night for us. Congrats to all, well done grads."

Below Deck's fearless leader swapped his epaulettes for a tie, glasses, and a black graduation gown, making him look positively collegiate on the special day. His wife, Mary Anne, was beaming with pride while supporting her husband on his big day.

Last month, Captain Lee got to see his own granddaughter, Bre, graduate from Florida Atlantic University. "A very proud Grandfather as his granddaughter graduates from college," Captain Lee gushed in a post on Instagram on May 6. "My bride and I are so proud of Bre, we love you sweetie."

Now we're just dying to hear Captain Lee's commencement speech to The Art Institute Class of 2018 in full. But we can already imagine there were fewer mentions of his favorite lines like "screwing the pooch." He wasn't addressing his Below Deck crew, after all.
