Dr. Heavenly Kimes' Husband Dr. Damon Launches Major COVID-19 Mobile Testing Initiative
The Married to Medicine dentist applauds her husband's work amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Heavenly Kimes' husband, Dr. Damon Kimes, is taking action to help fight the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Dr. Damon, who is a pain medicine specialist with a practice in Roswell, Georgia, has partnered with 23 Consulting, LLC and Samson Tours to dispatch Georgia Know Your Status, a 64-bus fleet of mobile testing sites. Dr. Damon and his partners will be offering testing for COVID-19 throughout the southeast.
The mobile testing sites will travel based on demand to cities, neighborhoods, and businesses. They will be fully equipped and have administrative staff on site to collect insurance information and process services like a traditional clinic. "All patients are encouraged to bring insurance information and identification," according to the press release announcing the launch of Georgia Know Your Status. "Uninsured patients are able to be serviced as well, and are welcome without discrimination. The Cares Act will assist the uninsured by covering the cost of testing."
"As a physician, I want to ensure that we prevent the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible," Dr. Damon said in a statement in the press release. "Testing will lead to quick identification of cases, quick treatment, and immediate isolation to prevent further spread of this virus."
Dr. Heavenly praised her husband's latest initiative in the comments to a post on Instagram on June 26. "I’m so proud of you!" the Married to Medicine dentist wrote. "I love how you are really passionate about [people] and your career."
Dr. Heavenly has even been assisting her husband as he works hard to get as many people tested as possible, which she documented on Instagram over the weekend.
