What's the Cringiest Couples Moment Ever Seen on Bravo? You Decide
These awkward Bravo moments involving couples — think Whitney and Justin making love art or Schwartz's "ring on a string" for Katie — were impossible to look away from.
Bravo shows are usually all about groups of friends, but love also plays an important part. In fact, many of the most memorable Bravo moments include couples: Some are sweet and romantic, like when Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula finally made it down the aisle in Summer House, while others are sad and relatable, like Katie Maloney making the decision to divorce Tom Schwartz on Vanderpump Rules. But not all Bravo scenes involving couples made us tear up for the right reasons. Some moments are just so, well, cringeworthy, they're burned into our memories in an entirely different way.
But what's the cringiest couples moment on Bravo ever? You get to decide from these 12 choices below! Just vote here for your top four. The results will be unveiled on a new episode of Bravo Bravo F'ing Bravo with Kate Chastain, a new live, interactive Bravo Insider original series featuring conversations with your favorite Bravolebrities. (Right now, it's currently available online to select Bravo Insiders. But you can add yourself to the Bravo Insider wait list to be the first to know when we open up availability to watch and participate live in the digital show.)
1. Tamra and Eddie in the bathtub
Tamra and Eddie Judge were eager to show their love for each other during a steamy bathtub tryst on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 6. While they may have enjoyed it, the rest of us didn't need to see it (that's our opinion!!!).
2. The "Ring on a String"
They may be divorced now, but on Season 3 of Vanderpump Rules, the Bubbas were so happy Katie issued an engagement ring ultimatum. Unfortunately, Schwartz responded to her ultimatum by buying her ... a promise ring on a necklace. Understandably, Katie was not thrilled with "the ring on a string" when she was expecting a diamond.
3. Whitney and Justin making love art
Whitney Rose hasn't just been on a hill-ing — ahem, healing — journey for herself on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, she's also worked on spicing up her romance with husband Justin. Their love art scene in Season 2 might have done the trick, but might have also caused Justin to lose his job.
4. Shannon Beador in a coffin
A couples retreat on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 went awry for Shannon Storms Beador and her then-husband, David Beador, as the two were asked to write eulogies for each other — and Shannon had to lay in a fake coffin to hear it. It was as morbidly odd as it sounds, and unfortunately, their relationship soon ended up dying for real.
5. Kristen shows up to Sandoval's home in the infamous green dress
Everyone wants to show their ex they're moving on, and Kristen Doute is no exception. Unfortunately, the tiny green dress she wore to Tom Sandoval's house to pick up her mail after their breakup in Vanderpump Rules Season 3 may have been a step too far. This was decidedly not the best day of their lives.
6. "Summer should be fun"
Kyle Cooke uttered potentially the most iconic line in Summer House history after a fight with his girlfriend Amanda Batula over a spilled water bottle got him, well, activated. Not only did he tell Amanda he didn't think he wanted to marry her, but he also proclaimed, "Summer should be fun! Amanda? Not fun!"
7. Austen Kroll is allegedly caught in a threesome
This moment happened off-camera, but the shocking recording was later shown on Southern Charm. Madison LeCroy was introduced as Austen Kroll's girlfriend in Season 6, but their relationship was put to the test when Madison found two girls staying in his bedroom overnight. Austen weakly yelling, "Madison, Madison!" and insisting she was overreacting made the footage quickly go viral.
8. Culver asks Jaimee to be his girlfriend with a Yes/No note
There are all sorts of ways to make a relationship official, but Culver Bradbury had a particularly memorable way to do that with Jaimee Neale on Below Deck Down Under Season 2. He concluded a date with a handwritten note asking her to check either the "Yes" or "No" box to being his girlfriend ... and Jamiee's mortified look really said it all.
9. JT "dumps" Venita over branzino
Would good friends Jarrett "JT" Thomas and Venita Aspen make a good couple? Well, we'll likely never know now, after the awkward way JT admitted he had feelings for her. After taking her to dinner in Southern Charm Season 10, JT told Venita they had chemistry, much to her delight. Unfortunately, JT waited for her to admit the attraction was mutual before revealing he had a girlfriend, putting the brakes on any potential relationship.
10. Scheana brags Rob can hang a TV in 7 minutes
It was all happening for Vanderpump Rules' resident optimist Scheana Shay in Season 6. Sure, she was coming off a divorce, but she was now dating her true love Robert Parks-Valletta. In between insisting they had actually been dating for a decade (despite her marriage to someone else) and naming their future child, Scheana also memorably raved about Rob's ability to hang a TV in seven minutes flat to anyone who would listen. She timed him!
11. Jax breaks up with Laura-Leigh after an AA meeting
Laura-Leigh wanted to share more with her new boyfriend, Jax Taylor, on Vanderpump Rules Season 1, but taking him to one of her Alcoholic Anonymous meetings ended up backfiring. Immediately after the meeting, Jax took her aside to break up with her, claiming he thought it would be a good time because she said she "always felt good after a meeting."
12. Camille and Kelsey Grammer's limo ride to the Tonys
Allison DuBois may have predicted Kyle Richards would never be emotionally fulfilled by her husband ("know that") in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 1, but it was soon clear one marriage would be over much sooner: Camille and Kelsey Grammer were clearly on the verge of separating, and their awkward and tense limo ride to the Tony Awards was a perfect illustration why.
