Cynthia Bailey celebrated her 56th birthday on February 19. And as The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum lived her best Pisces Szn life in skintight catsuits and curls (more on that later), she received an outpouring of love from exes and BFFs alike.
Leon Robinson certainly didn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate his friend. And friends they are: Even though Leon and Cynthia haven’t been romantically involved for some time now, the two remain close. (Check out the clip above.)
Not only do Cynthia and Leon share a lovely daughter, Noelle Robinson, but they also share a whole lot of history. In his sweet birthday message for his ex, Leon acknowledged just how far back they go.
The February 19 post featured a throwback snap of the former couple, who appeared to be posing together at an event. Cynthia looked gorgeous as always, with short hair, gold hoop earrings, and her signature radiant smile. Meanwhile, Leon was ultra spiffy in a crisp white shirt with the top buttons left undone.
“We’ve been [friends] for a lot of [birthdays] [Cynthia Bailey],” Leon captioned the post. “I’m happy to be wishing you another Happy, Healthy & Blessed Birthday‼️ Cause you deserve that and more.” Pardon us while we dab our eyes.
Cynthia also seized the day in her own feed. In a February 19 Instagram post, the former model slayed in one Lycra look after the next. “Today is my 56th birthday!!” Cynthia captioned her post. “What would I tell my younger self? TO HAVE FUN!!! And to dance [and] laugh as much as possible.”
In another post, the Atlanta mom dropped a hint about what’s next for her. “[I] read somewhere that the number 56 represents growth, change, new beginnings, spirituality [and] transformation. OK!!! [I] am ready!” she wrote.
As Cynthia heads into her next chapter, Kenya Moore is cheering her on. The haircare mogul shared a photo of the birthday girl in her own feed, along with an empowering message. “Yess ma’am!!! 50+ women are killing it!” Kenya wrote. “HBD to my sister [Cynthia Bailey] a global beauty in her own right living life on her own terms! We love to see it! Love you sooo much babe!”
Cynthia responded to her RHOA buddy in the comments. “Thank [you] Twirl!!!! Thank you for all the love [and] words of encouragement. Especially making me to commit to my health [and] fitness journey!!! [I] am almost as fine as you are now!!! Love you my friend!”
This is 56!
