Dale Talde Sets His Sights on...Newark Airport?

Dale Talde has opened successful eateries in Brooklyn and New Jersey. But now the Top Chef cheftestant is trying out a new locale: the airport.
Dale is set to open up a dumpling restaurant named Little Purse in Newark Liberty International Airport, Buzzfeed reports. Yes, you read that correctly. In an airport.
The eatery will be a featured spot in United Airlines' upcoming $120 million redesign of its terminal at the New Jersey travel hub. It will be one of 55 restaurants opening in the terminal in 2016. At Little Purse, Dale will serve all sorts of delicious treats including shumai and wontons, with menus designed by NYC's Parts and Labor.
Bloomberg got a first look at the sleek, new terminal, which will also include foods from around the globe like pizza, bakeries, Swedish meatballs and even a sea-themed restaurant. "It's part Get Smart, part James Bond, and part theater technology," David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group told the site about the new look for Terminal C, where Dale's new restaurant will be located. "Light is an element that creates a warm glow, almost like a hearth."
Little Purse joins other Dale restaurants including Talde spots in Brooklyn and Jersey City, just a stone's throw away from his new dumpling outpost. Later this year, Dale will also open up a Talde in Miami.
"I feel like the luckiest dude in the world," he told the Village Voice last year. "In two months, I could be the head cook at Denny's and say, man I had a f---ing awesome run. Not everyone gets to do what they love on a day to day basis. Hopefully, my legacy is that I'm a guy who loved to have a good time. Professionally, it's that I'm a chef who enjoyed a good time, enjoyed good food, taught some people how to be professionals and how to think on their own. Personally, I hope people think I'm a caring guy."
