Chris Kattan Says There's an "Unfairness" to DWTS Following Elimination

"We can't move like Simone Biles," the #SNL alum said.

Chris Kattan was the first celebrity eliminated on this season of Dancing with the Stars, but the Saturday Night Live alum doesn't think all of the contestants are given a fair shot at the Mirrorball Trophy.

Chris recently told ET that he believes there is "an unfairness to the fact" that the celebrity contestants come in with varying degrees of previous dance experience. "Simone Biles and Charo and I are three different people going into the show," he said. "I'm not as good of a dancer as Charo [and] we have our different moves, but we can't move like Simone Biles."

He went on to explain that the problem there is that the judges use the same criteria to evaluate each contestant's performance, regardless of his or her skill level. Chris said that either the celebs should have "no dancing experience" or the judges should "acknowledge the fact that this person doesn't have experience and this person does. And give them the benefit of the doubt."

Of course, this season's DWTS cast is full of celebs from all walks of entertainment, many of whom have some dance experience, including Heather Morris, who has danced with Beyoncé and on Glee, Fifth Harmony member Normani Kordei, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills songstress Erika Jayne.

In the second episode of the season, which aired after voting for the contestants based on the first week's performances had already ended, it was revealed that Chris had broken his neck 14 years ago and has had four surgeries since then, which severely affected his movement in the competition. When Chris became the first DWTS contestant to bite the dust this season at the end of the episode, he noted that he thought fans should have been made aware of his injury at the beginning of the competition. "I wish that my surgery and all that was noted before, but it wasn't. That's OK," he told co-host Tom Bergeron. "But I had an incredible time."

Chris told ET that he is "bummed out" about being eliminated from the show, but he's "looking forward" to returning to cheer on the remaining contestants later on this season.

Luckily, our girl Erika is still wowing us on DWTS. Watch her dish on the "intense" rehearsals for the show, below.
