Andy Cohen Calls Danielle Staub's Recent Engagement to Oliver Maier a "True Fairytale"
"She went from Cop Without a Badge to being a duchess," Andy Cohen said of Danielle Staub.
Danielle Staub is ready for her next chapter after getting engaged to Oliver Maier in St. Barth's last month. And Andy Cohen is here for it.
The Daily Dish recently caught up with the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host backstage at the filming of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 reunion, and he shared his reaction to the latest big news to come out of the Garden State. "The Duchess Danielle story is a continuing story, changes every day, and I'm following it closely," he said.
What Andy is probably referring to here is the fact that rumors began swirling not long after Danielle and Oliver, who is the Duke of Provence, got engaged that there was trouble in paradise for the couple. At that point, it was unclear when — if at all — they would be tying the knot. But Danielle took to her Instagram Story to shut down the rumors that she and Oliver had called it quits. "To put the rumors that he and I are not together, here I am with my love," Danielle said before kissing Oliver on the cheek in the clip. "There you go."
When Danielle and Oliver do wed, she will become the Duchess of Provence, a title Andy said Danielle is more than deserving of. "I want her to have a ring and a castle. I think it would be the greatest ending to her story, that she went from Cop Without a Badge to being a duchess," Andy told The Daily Dish, referring to that infamous book that caused that table flip in Season 1 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. "I just think it would be incredible. A true fairytale."
We can't wait to see Danielle get her happily ever after, too.
