Did James Kennedy's Parents Ever Get Divorced?

Over the course of getting to know James Kennedy on Vanderpump Rules, viewers have not only gotten to know the party-loving DJ and the hot-headed SURver, but also the softer side of the "Get Loose" performer, as he dealt with the demise of his parents' relationship back in Season 4. And if you've wondered if his mom and dad ever got divorced following their separation, during Monday's episode, we learned that they did divorce and his dad, Andros Georgiou, was living in England.

"So it's been for me about five months since I last saw my dad. He's been living in England since last summer," James said on this week's episode about his dad coming to check him out DJing at SUR (clip above). "It's the first time he's coming to visit me after the divorce. I definitely had a hard time with it. Honestly, I've missed him so much. I'm happy that he's here. I'm happy that he's coming to visit."

James then opened up a bit more about growing up with his equally musically-inclined papa. "My dad managed George Michael. He was his best friend for countless years. My dad was a DJ also," he said. "It was definitely a very musical environment. Growing up there was music playing in every room all the time. I'd always just see music. So obviously I want to make my dad proud."

However, Andros doesn't completely understand why James doesn't drink when he's DJing at SUR. "My dad didn't understand why I get so crazy when I drink," he said. "So for him, still, it's like 'Have a couple drinks — I mean you're a DJ, you got to have a couple drinks.' It's not like he's trying to be a bad influence."

Later, during a heart to heart with his dad, it was revealed that it was the late George Michael who Christened him and passed along his musical talents to his godson by spitting on him during the occasion. "It means you take my skills from my life; I give them to you. He's spitting on you for that," Andros said. (More on the family's relationship with the pop star, below)

Then, James offered some insight into why he thinks his parents split, citing some business and financial troubles his dad went through following his "big falling out" with George. "My dad was slowly losing everything... I think that's definitely part of the reason why my mom and dad have broken up and I struggled last year so much," James said before sharing that his dad is still active in the industry, pursuing new talent. Though he wishes his dad was living closer to him.

In addition to some more details about James' dad and his parent's marriage status, Lisa Vanderpump also dropped a few details on the backstory about how she became friends with Andros. "I first met Andros with George Michael coming back from the South of France many years ago, but Ken had known him through the bar scene prior to that," she said. "And Andros was a bit of a guy around town."
