Did Luis D. Ortiz Find Love During His European Adventure?
The #MDLNY broker dishes on all of the romance during his getaway.
Luis D. Ortiz just returned from an epic 26-day European vacation. And if you've seen the photos from his trip, you know that he visited some of the most romantic locales in the world. So did Luis finally find that special someone he's been searching for?
"I did not," the Million Dollar Listing New York agent updated his assistant Ronita Kalra during a live chat on Facebook Thursday. "The place where I thought I was going to meet my wife was in Sicily."
Impressing the ladies proved to be a challenge for Luis on the Italian island since most of the locals spoke neither English nor Spanish. So what's a romantic like Luis to do in this situation? Hire a translator, of course. "I could tell him what I wanted to tell the girl, and then he would tell me how to say it. I would say it, and he would correct me, and she'd tell me it was cute," Luis said.
And did it work? "At some point, I had to tell the translator, listen, it's time for you to go. Now, it's time for me to stay," Luis gushed. "There's nothing to translate. At that point, it becomes a universal language."
Ronnie cut Luis off before he could get too detailed on his romantic exploits, but he did reveal that he locked lips with some ladies, as he documented on Snapchat during his travels.
Luis later joked that he did meet someone, before confirming that he is, in fact, still a bachelor. And those still 'shipping Luis and Ronnie are going to be disappointed. "Unfortunately, I love Luis but not like that," Ronnie said after revealing that she is engaged. "We're not getting married, for the frickin' hundredth time."
Though Luis is still trying to figure out what his next move will be now that he has decided to retire from real estate, he's going to keep busy with plenty more traveling in the future. He shared that he's off to Sardinia, Mexico City, and Spain in the coming months and has speaking gigs planned across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
But there's no place like home, and Luis has some amazing tips for sightseeing around New York City, below.
