Did Saturday Night Live Serve Up Some Erika Jayne Fierceness?
Do you think SNL paid homage to the RHOBH singer?
Miley Cyrus may have been the formal musical guest on this past weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live, but a character resembling Erika Jayne also brought some fierceness to the show during the November 4 airing, which was hosted by Larry David.
One sketch centered around a group of lawyers "serving Ally McBeal realness," when one of the attorneys at a gathering was welcomed by his blonde wife, wearing her hair big and blonde, with a sparkly little dress. That, of course, wouldn't be enough for us to think that perhaps this character, named Candace, was inspired by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pop singer.
There were a few more hints that pointed to Erika as the inspiration. Like, for instance, the fact that Candace and her hubby met in Mykonos. As you might recall, Erika headed to Mykonos last season on RHOBH. And then Candace busted out an incredible and sassy performance that felt a little Erika Jayne-ish.
SNL star Cecily Strong proves it's also expensive to be Candace.
Whether we're overthinking this or not (OK, maybe we're not), Erika was certainly liking what she saw.
