The first season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills introduced us to a whole new cast of 'Wives who weren't afraid to stir the pot and serve up the drama. It was responsible for showing viewers the tense feud between Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer that was as epic as it was short-lived. Today, in the eighth season of the show, there are very few signs that the two ever had bad blood between them, but some fans of the show miss the unpredictability of Season 1 Camille. It begs the question: Do Camille's friends and fellow Housewives feel the same? Kyle stopped by The Daily Dish podcast and told hosts Megan Segura and Rachael Roberts how she really feels about Camille.
"I think, you know, some people kind of like Season 1 Camille; a lot of people do," Kyle shared. "But as a friend, I prefer this Camille. Season 1 Camille was not my favorite person."
It's been a pretty dramatic turnaround, to go from verbally sparring with Camille to counting her among her close friends. So to what does Kyle attribute the transformation in their relationship? Good old-fashioned growth, with maybe a little help from the reflecting pool the show has created for the women.
"Well, I think that you live and you learn, and you see things about yourself, and often you see it yourself and you're like, 'Oh my gosh, why would I do that or act like that?' Or people will say, 'You know you do this a lot,'" Kyle explained. "And you're like, 'Wait, do I do that?'"
While Kyle is happy with her friend as she is, she admitted to Megan and Rachael the fan love for Season 1 Camille isn't lost on her, "I mean, I still have people come up to me and ask me to leave voicemails for their friends saying, 'You're such a f---ing liar, Camille.'" Kyle even revealed that she and Lisa Vanderpump still have fun with this very memorable moment. "Lisa Vanderpump kept saying it to [Camille] this season, too. We've said it so many times to her," she laughed.
