Dorinda Medley Opens Up About Her First Husband and Her Ties to Scotland
RHONY alum Dorinda Medley shared new information about her first husband on The Traitors Season 3 premiere.
Before Dorinda Medley dated John Mahdessian or married Richard Medley, she was married to her first husband, Ralph Lynch.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum and Ralph welcomed a daughter named Hannah Lynch together before divorcing in 2005. On The Traitors Season 3 premiere, Dorinda recalled visiting Scotland often with her first husband.
"I don't know if you know this, but my first husband was Scottish," she told castmates Tom Sandoval, Britney Haynes, and Jeremy Collins in a car on the way to Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. "So we came to Scotland every weekend. I'm back. Back on Traitors."

Dorinda's first husband is the father of her daughter, Hannah Lynch. "I have a wonderful relationship with Hannah’s dad. I don’t get rid of people. I kind of carry them through my life. It’s just not how I run my life," Dorinda told The Daily Dish. "And I think people saw that on the show: My friends become my friends, my boyfriends, my ex-husbands, whatever, they become part of my fabric of my life. And I don’t believe in getting rid of people. I don’t dabble in scandal. I never have."

Dorinda added that she wanted to always maintain a strong relationship with her ex, even right after they split up.
"It’s so funny when Ralph and I got separated and they set up the separation agreement and all that, we never followed," Dorinda continued to The Daily Dish. "Ralph basically had a key to my apartment and I said 'Come by whenever you want.' [Hannah's] father and I have been friends since. I guess, maybe from living in Europe, it was a little different. When I came back, it was like people hated their ex-husbands. It’s like why? Sometimes you’re not in love anymore. Ralph’s very happily married, has been for years. And, we made sure that we brought people into our lives that liked our former mates, you know, liked our former husband or wife."
How many times has Dorinda Medley been married?
The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip alum was married to Ralph Lynch from 1995 until 2005. She married her second husband, hedge fund manager Richard Medley, in October 2005. The couple stayed together until Richard passed away in November 2011.
Dorinda went on to date John Mahdessian, a dry cleaning businessman, for seven years. After an on-and-off romance, Dorinda and John officially parted ways in 2019.
