Dorinda Medley's Stepdaughter Tying the Knot Was One of the New York Housewife's "Best Gifts of 2019"
The RHONY cast member said her late husband would have been "so proud" of his daughter.
Dorinda Medley's year was filled with even more love than we knew.
The Real Housewives of New York City cast member shared that her stepdaughter, Paige Medley, tied the knot in 2019 in a post looking back on the nuptials on Instagram on January 1. "One of the best gifts of 2019 was being part of the union of my beautiful stepdaughter Paige Medley and John O’Leary," Dorinda recalled in the post.
The post featured a collection of photos of Dorinda's family, the first of which showed herself in between the bride and groom at the gravesite of her late husband and Paige's father, Richard Medley. Another photo shows Dorinda's daughter, Hannah Lynch, and her stepchildren at her wedding to Richard in 2005. "Although Dad was not there physically, we all know, on a daily basis, [his] strength, love and presence is always with you both now and forever," Dorinda said of Richard in the post. "To say he’d be so proud of you personally and this marriage is an understatement."
Paige wed John on August 31, 2019, according to a video of her wedding she shared on Instagram, and Dorinda couldn't be happier to have gained a new family member on that day. "I am so blessed to have you in my life and love you and John very much," Dorinda gushed in her post. "As you have said to me 'Life’s roughest storms prove the strength of the anchor' and what a [strong] anchor you both have."
Dorinda previously opened up about her two stepchildren, Paige and Aidan, during an interview with The Daily Dish podcast in June 2019, sharing that she's "still very close to" both of them. In fact, Dorinda's stepson helped inspire her famous fish room in her Berkshires home. "Each one of those rooms was done for the kids," she said. "That room [the fish room] — Richard was an avid fisherman and deep sea fisher and he was a captain and Aidan, his son, was a huge boater as well and they would go on these huge trips for days and bring back these amazing fish and those are real."
