Dorit Kemsley Has One Major Regret About Her Drama with Garcelle Beauvais
Plus, Garcelle Beauvais shares her hopes for the future of this RHOBH friend group moving forward.
It was the beef nobody saw coming. Dorit Kemsley and Garcelle Beauvais started to be very much at odds during the back half of Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, starting with what turned out to be a heated lunch at the Rinna Beauty launch party.
Dorit reflected on her tension with Garcelle this season of RHOBH during her October 6 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (clip above), including that aforementioned conversation at the Rinna Beauty event. The Beverly Hills Housewife even admitted that there was one thing "I really wish I hadn't" said to Garcelle in that moment. Find out what in the video, above.
Later this season of RHOBH, Garcelle expressed that she felt like an "outsider" in this social circle, which one WWHL fan thought Dorit could be a little more understanding about in light of the "Fox Force Five" nickname for her friend group with Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave. "Yeah, but that has nothing to do with the actual group," Dorit explained on WWHL (clip below). "I mean, it's something outside the group."
Dorit added that she does "understand that she feels like an outsider," but she also feels like she has "absolutely" made Garcelle feel welcome within the group.
Garcelle actually pointed to the "Fox Force Five" while opening up about feeling left out in this group in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. "My feelings are my feelings. You know, whether they believe them or not, they're still my feelings, right?" Garcelle shared in the Bravo Insider exclusive clip, below. "Even at the luncheon, at the lip kit luncheon, nobody said anything on my behalf."
Garcelle shared more of what she's been feeling when she opened up about her experience as the only Black woman in the group during the trip to Del Mar this season of RHOBH. "Just because I'm strong doesn't mean I don't have feelings, and I'm not fragile and I'm not trying to fit in. My whole f--king life I've had to try to fit in," she shared. "I walk in a room all the time, and I always have to prove myself. Have you guys ever walked into a room and ever felt like you're the only one that's different?"
She later said in an interview during the episode that she felt like some progress had been made that night. "Tonight, I feel like they got to see a little piece of me. I really feel like me being vulnerable and saying how I feel made them see me differently," Garcelle said. "And I think it was a breakthrough for all of us."
Looking toward the future, Garcelle said in the RHOBH After Show that she would like to see herself "getting closer" with the other women. "And trust. Trust is a big deal," she added in the below clip. "I think I'd like to see, I'd like to feel more trust within the group."
Garcelle and the rest of the RHOBH cast will come together at the four-part Season 11 reunion, which kicks off on Wednesday, October 13 at 8/7c. Check out a preview, below.
