Dress Like Bill Powers
The 'Work of Art' host is the subject of Cynthia Rowley's new line.
Looking as dapper as art aficionado Bill Powers just got a list easier.
Being the handsome husband of designer Cynthia Rowley gives him an advantage finding fine threads to wear for his Work of Art judging gig. But now men not married to a design maven can look just as put together by wearing her new Mr. Powers line.
According to Rowley fans were clamoring for their own classic tweed blazers and the like after seeing what he sported last season.
"He wore stuff last season but we were unprepared for the demand it created," Rowley explained. "This collection is specifically tied to what he wears on the show."
Thus came the line of roughly two dozen waist-up options (the outwear is designed to be worn with a pair of your favorite denim -- it's up to you if it includes paint stains). From pop-art inspired graphic striped cardigans to black-watch plaid blazers, there's something for everyone no matter what their style or medium preference.
However, don't expect Mr. Powers to take his gallery-minded ways completely into the fashion world just yet. Cynthia told WWD that Bill's involvement was pretty minimal, "We are only using him for his name and his fame. He might say what he wants, but by then it's probably too late."
The line is available in Cynthia Rowley stores and online, and prices range from $275 to $595.
