The Real Housewives of Orange County cast and fans alike have had a lot to say about Emily Simpson's marriage to husband Shane Simpson this season — but it wasn't something that Emily expected.

"It was definitely hard for me. It was a lot of stress. It was a lot of emotions. Um, it was difficult psychologically, emotionally, physically," the O.C. attorney told The Daily Dish podcast.

However, it seems one good thing may have come from such a stressful season: Emily's relationship with her husband actually improved!

"But the fact that I can say that my marriage is in a better place than it ever has been in my whole life, and I think that's because there's a level of self-awareness that would have never been there if it wouldn't have been right there in front of, um, you know, Shane's face or me. So all in all, knowing what she knows now, would she have come back for another season if she could do it again? The answer is "yes," Emily ultimately responded.
